Rebecca -- If they didn't weigh Alyssa buck naked, I'd be tempted to throw a few rocks in her pockets to weigh her down, LOL!!

Liza -- Sorry to hear he dropped in the percentages. That's always frustrating. But I know with both my non-CF boys, they hit a growth spurt and it thins them out a whole lot for awhile. Growth curves are the big picture, but it can vary a bit in the minute. I'm interested in the hypertonic saline too. Would they take him off the pulmozyme to go on the HTS?

Katy has been a super picky eater lately, and then sometimes she will eat like a horse. She just turned 4. I try really hard to say "just eat until your full" without making a big deal out of it. It is so hard - what I really want to say is EAT CHILD, EAT!!

When they put Katy on 7% HTS 6 weeks ago they also left her on pulmozyme.

Liza, I agree you always sound like you do the absoulte best job any mom of a cf'er could do. I know you feel like this is a setback and nothing I say can change that, but you are doing great and he is probably just in a growth spurt.

I keep wondering if something was terribly hinky with one of the scales ''cuz he definately hasn't dropped 5 pounds in two months -- and it seems like he's taller, but looking back on his past appointments his height and weight have fluctuated. He's not skin and bones by any means -- has some good fat on his thighs and torso.

Sat down at noon and ate a container of greek style yogurt with honey and a glass of carnation instant breakfst.

I was just having one of those painful clinic appointments where the doctor was bugging me -- seems as if he was giving me grief, questioning our going to the other CF clinic in the City.
