comic convention and chicago

ok, so my boyfriend and I are planning a trip to chicago in august to go to a comic book convention (what can I say, my man loves his superheroes) and he told me today that one of our favorite artists, Mike Turner (he does comic illustration but draws just about anything if asked to), will be there holding an art auction to benefit cancer and cf! Anyone in the chicago area here know anything about it??

I am from Chicago and I know nothing about it! But I am not a comic person so that might be it. If I hear anything I will tell ya. Hope you love Chicago but DRESS COOL. It gets mightly hot and humid here in august

I am from Chicago as well but I have also not heard anything about the convention. I do agree with Sue - August in Chicago is usually HOT and HUMID. If you post more information about where you are going to be I can try to give you some suggestions of what to do while you are here.
