Compressor issue or neb cups??

So I sat down to do my nebs this morning and was noticing that it was VERY slow. And it didn't really sound like it is supposed to. It usually makes a sort of gurgling noise in the cup, from the meds being used. So I unhooked the cup from the tubing...there was still air coming out of the tubing. Then I switched to a different cup, thinking the cup was clogged...well the second cup didnt make any sound, and there was no air coming through.

So then I changed the tubing...still same problems. Well then I stopped and decided to boil the cups, thinking again that maybe they were both clogged. By then I had to get to work, so I didnt have a chance to try again, but I just tried now and it is still not pushing air through the cup. I am confused because when I put my hand over the tub, there IS air comimng out, but when I connect the tubing to the cup, nothing happens.

I have a Pari Proneb Ultra II and have probably had it for a few years at least (my next step is to find the receipt...eeeeek, could take a while for that, have NO clue where it would be). I use the Pari LC plus cups.

ANY help would be much appreciated. I would like to know your input...Is this a compressor problem? I know thay dont last forever, so it very well could have ***** the bed...and it does make a funny noise, almost like its getting louder every day. But then again, why would it be blowing any air out at all if it was dead...

Thanks! I think I will also put in a call to the clinic, because I obviously can't wait on this, as I do not have a backup compressor.

EDITED TO ADD: I found the receipt...it was purchased in Feb of 2007, so it is almost three years old.

UPDATE: So long story short...Pari will take care of the old neb. I have to send it to them and then they look at it and THEN send me a new one. They told me to call the distributor to get a rental. The original distributor was Praxair...long story...was on the phone with them like 8 times today, three different offices (all in MA) and they will not send me a rental, apparently they don't do that. I am going to look into local pharmacies in my area tomorrow and that way hopefully I can just pick one up at one of those offices.

Kinda funny story...the girl I talked to at Praxair suggested I go to my doctors office in the interim (til I get the new Pari) to do my nebs!!! HA. Sorry is not gonna happen when the office is an hour away and my nebs take any hour. Does she have a clue? Hopefully I will not have to go through them to get the rental, i would prefer to not work with them after the hassles of today.

Have you ever changed the air filter on the compressor? I don't have your model, but mine has a filter stuck right into the side: it only last a few months until it has sucked in so much dust that it needs replacing.

What is the filter supposed to look like when it is clean? I checked that and it is still bright white, doesnt appear dirty. I have never replaced it. But the compressor is three years old.

How Old is the Pari Pro Neb ??

I had 2 of them go bad on me , neither was yet 6 months old.

I went Back to my Pulmo Aide << Never Fails....

Pari will Replace Yours, they have been having problems with
them for a couple of years, Check the bottom to see where it was built.
One of mine was made in Mexico the other was China ,I think, But Both
starting failing after the second month. The Nebs started getting Longer
and the Machine needed to slowly Pick up speed before it would Neb Meds.

You can try Pari again. I am sure You will get more replies.
Maybe Pari has taken care of the Pro Neb Issue...
