contact with other cfers

Hi everyone. I was just wondering what is the contact level for two cfers to be when arround eachother. I have heard that it is a few feet a part and you are ok but I am not really sure. They only other cfer I have had contact with is my brother and we obviously grew up together and dont really follow any type of rules. This is a type of situation where masks and gloves are not really an option, like during social settings at college. I figured no direct contact and staying a few feet apart when we talk would be ok but I wanted others suggestions too.

Thanks

Here's what the CFF says:

I try to stay 3 feet apart from other CFers. I always try to stay aware of their coughing also. If they are coughing more often then I stay farther away then 3 feet. The same goes for me, if I am coughing more often, then I stay away out of courtesy.

Also like Amy said just be aware of surfaces and things they could have coughed onto or spread their germs too.
