Contraceptives?

I know this isn't necessarily a pregnancy topic, but indirectly it kind of is. I was just wondering what kind of contraceptives you gals have used? Obviously there are a lot of CF factors that go into deciding on the right kind to use. Just curious! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> Thanks

I had used the Nuvaring and loved it, but when I went off of it I had three mini-strokes. (numbness in one side of body/face--to where I could not lift my leg at all without using my hands, confusion, etc. for about an hour or so, then a massive migraine) My doctor (neurologist) put me on Depakote (which I guess is used for treating epilepsy and other things) for a couple of months. Then I was fine. I was really reluctant to see someone about it, but I'm glad I did. I hadn't had anything like that with other birth controls. Anyway, it was probably just me, but I thought I would throw out my experience in case anyone else has that kind of an issue with Nuvaring, or any other birth control for that matter.
