Wow that is a tough choice. If it were me, I would make the drive if the hosp. won't have a room for two or more days. If they think they will have one tomorrow or something, I'd wait it out. I agree with you that the inexperienced medical staff locally would be a bad idea. It's stressful enough to have this done without it being done wrong! Let us know what you decide.

They just called and they have a room available and are holding it for her... woohoo! We are finally on our way... good thing too cuz she didn't sleep last night for coughing all night. I was about to be forced to take the ER route...
