Hey everyone,
I am in a state of flux and dont know what to do about insurance. I am currently covered under the Michigan Crippled Children's insurance (they changed the name to something more politically correct but I cant never remember it). This covers anything CF related, but nothing else.
My parents are about to take me off of their BCBS. So I will not be covered for things like car accidents and what not.
To complicate things I am moving to Spokane, Washington. I am not yet "officially" moving (like changing my residency, getting a washignton drivers license, etc...) because I want to keep the Michigan insurance, since it's the only insurance I will have.
But I think it would be more beneficial to try and get disability benefits, which I believe gives you medicare.
Does anyone know how to go about doing this? Particularly in Washington. What are the qualifers I need to meet? And any ideas on a timeline of how long it would take to get coverage?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
