Donor Lungs outside the body

I used to go to the CF Trust website for the UK on a regular basis but hadn't been there in a while. I went to see if they were discussing the volcanic ash cloud and if they were being instructed to take precautions. Anyway...
I came across this.

Anna says she thinks she saw this on Grey's Anatomy with a heart. Sure seems quite promising. I don't recall hearing anything about it.

Liza...I saw this about 6 months ago or so. My surgeon says it's very promising. We just have a wait a little while longer, of course <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Yea, yea, always the same line, we have to wait a little longer. Sometimes I just don't have patience.

Better safe than sorry though so wait we will.

I am just glad that they are making progress with something for the lungs concerning transplant.
