Dr's in WI

My bro (age 34) is thinking about getting a second opinion in WI. We have seen Dr. Biller for years, and we really like her, but she has openly said she doesn't know what is wrong w/ my brother and how to treat him in order to get him healthy again. He has spent the past 18 months feeling extremely crappy with poor PFTs (less than 40%).

So, since she has said she doesn't know what to do to make him better, he was considering getting a second opinion. He plans to discuss this with her as well, but I was wondering if there is anyone here who has any recommendations?

Thanks in advance, we appreciate any input since he has been feeling so bad lately and most antibiotics aren't helping anymore.

Amy (a/k/a noexcuses or saveferris2009) has consulted with a few different clinics including Dr. Warwicks in MN.

It never hurts to do so.

Hi Christina -

I'm so sorry to hear that your brother has been doing poorly for so long. I was going to suggest that you PM LungPlug, as I noticed yesterday that he mentioned being in the hospital in Madison. Then, I rechecked his thread to find out his signin name, and saw that you had already been there to ask! I know there are several others here who get their care in Milwaukee, hopefully you'll get some responses from Madison people, too.

I'll keep your family in my thoughts. I think back, often, to your mom's encouraging words to me at the walk last year. They keep me going, some days. Hope you are well.
