Drywall dust....

Basement was recently renovated (maybe 2 years ago, used to be unfinished)

Anyways I've no problems when I'm here in the summer, but just today I looked at my compressor and noticed white particulate matter (aka white dust) around the edges of the fan on my compressor, and on the filter openings. We've had the ducts cleaned and have a new filter in the furnace, so I don't know where its coming from.

Should I be worried at all?

I have noticed similar issues with DS' compressors. Figure it's dust, dander that the fan picks up from the air. I do vacuum and dust once a week and vacuum/wipe off the compressor as well. And make sure the filters are clean -- change them out at least every 6 months as per the mfg instructions, if not sooner.

The biggy is the filter and making sure it's doing it's job.
