Ear ache

I have started an ear ache and have been feeling dizzy. My mom says I must have an infection in there. I am just wondering aren't I a little old to be gettin ear infections? Has anyone else had any?

I never even had an ear infection (at least that I can remember) until I was 25 years old! So I guess you're never too old, or I am a weirdo! Or both??? HAHA.

My sinus infections also can make my ears absolutely ache, even when my ears themselves aren't infected.

Hey ClashPunk82,
My son is the one with CF but I figured any info helps. Everytime I get sick, I get an ear infection and I am on the verge of thirty. I think everybodies body deals differently with infections.
Hope this helps you feel less weird...

The first time I ever had an ear ache was when I was about 25 & it turned out to be an ear infection. I was at work & couldnt function. It made me really have compassion for the little ones when they get the ear infections. Luckily I have never had another one.

Thanls everyone for your input now I don't feel alone! My ear doesn't hurt that much today but I think it might be my sinuses messing my ear up. I hate feeling dizzy it's so annoying. I am on Cipro right now because I started some lung stuff so wanted to nip it in the bud before it went to a cleanout. I am hoping the Ciipro will help with the sinuses and ear thing too!!

If your sinuses are all stuffed up and your nose and ears, you might want to ask your doc about Nasonax. It is a RX nasal spray and works well for stuffy sinuses and the ears and nose...it's all connected.

Clash Punk...I am on Cipro, too -- AND I have an earache!! I go to clinic next tuesday, so I am going to wait it out....its only one ear, and I have sinus problems, too! I am glad you brought it up -- I couldn't believe how similar our situations are!

My daughter frequently gets ear infections. The doctor gave us some drops to numb the inside of the ear. These don't "cure" the problem, but it sure seems to help the pain. I got an ear infection a month ago & I tried them. It definitely made it tolerable! M.

Hey Colleen, that's funny we are in similar situations! Thankfully my ear stopped hurting and I don't feel as dizzy and off balance as I did. I am hoping the Cipro will kill whatever I have quick!!
