Electricity Failure

Well, since we're starting up the hurricane season, I wanted to know what others do when you're electricity fails. We usually don't get our turned back on for days!!
We've already submitted our paperwork to the power company for a priority listing. That may help. Since Faith was just diagnosed in October, we haven't had a power failure yet. I also know we can get a generator, but they are so expensive. Been wanted to get one of those for years now anyway, but we'll have to wait a little longer. I also know I can go to a friends or neighbors house, as long as they have it and as long as we can get out. It would only be for the neb, because we would obviously do her PFT's manually.

But what do all you guys do?

Thanks.

One option would be to get a battery powered nebulizer and of course extra batteries. I would assume this is cheaper than a generator??
I called our electric company asking this same question because we loose electricity due to high winds and the person I talked to said they are most concerned for those on oxygen, bi-pap machines, etc--more or less life saving machines.
