Well this is a lil gross... but I went for a pap yesterday and when she went to swab she said I had a really thick brownish yellowish coating it was so thick she compared it to like a membrane covering my cervix and she couldnt get it off with the swab when she tried it bled and she said she barly touched it... she says she has never heard or seen anything like this.. I told her that due to my cf that I produce really thick mucas... she said she knows but has never seen it this bad.. so when I came home I told my mom and she said wow that sounds alot like what the surgent said about my apendix after i got them removed when I was 10 he said that he noticed a really thick like membrane covering the apendix!! So im a lil worried could this mean that its covering all my organs.. and has anyone here maybe had this problem.. please let me kno everything helps <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Also im not really that sick like no oxygen and all that so could it really be that thick or maybe that doesnt matter!!

One time when I went to the gyno she metioned that she thought I had some STD due to discharge or thicker mucus. Well it was just CF. I always have to remind them that I have a thicker lining down there so they have to swab a little harder. It's gross and uncomfortable but you are not alone!!

You are definately not alone...I had they same thing happen...
Sometimes (for me) it is thicker than others.

I'm agreeing with everyone. They had told me a couple times that I had an infection but once again it was just cf. So if I were you I wouldn't worry about it.

Honeslty I dont think I would worry about it, you can always have your gyn take a sample of it and send it off if you are extrelmy worried. When went to the fertility clinic they had to do an exam and the doctor just about fell out of his chair. He was like honestly I can barley see where I am going and see anything, no wonder you cant get pregnant. I was laughing so hard like yep thats my CF for ya. So yes needless to say I have had many gyn's tell me that they have never seen so much and such thick mucus on and around my cervix. It's normal for us Cf'ers just comes with the teritory <img src="">
