Today I decided to stop being a lurker and become a member. I guess you will learn more about me as I participate on this site but what I want to say is each and every person on this site is amazing. Your stories of courage and determination are inspirational (even to someone who has cf). Not only that, but the community and friendship that goes on this site is a true example of what the human spirit can do when working together (cliché I know). Although cf is a living hell I believe that it has taught me some lessons in life that many will never know - fragility, compassion, helplessness and strength but one of the most important things I it has taught me is the importance and power of those around us.

To me my partner is my hero; I am constantly amazed by his dedication in supporting me - how one person has given so much of himself to ease the burden of another. But this feat is not unique on this site and the stories of partners, friends, mothers, fathers and grandparents - each and everyone one of them, all unified by this horrible illness - exemplify something very special about human nature. So at risk of sounding totally soppy and cliché (maybe it's a bit late!) I want to say a huge thankyou to you all, for being brave enough to share your stories and for being willing to help and support one another; the stories of this site are really something special!
