yes yes and yes. heres some advice though, if you choose to inhale it, it can cause wheeziness and lung spasms. do not use it pre or post transplant for both inhaled and oral. oral gsh can cause stomach pains and diarrhea. if using oral take what is prescribed on the bottle, not dr bishops protocol which is several thousands of mg's a day. do not stop other medications without your doctors advice, and remember glutathione does not work for everyone, despite what people on the gsh forum say. dont get into the cycle of believing that it is a cure all and that there are no side effects just because it has worked for you. i would not follow the advice of the gsh forum and dr bishops protocol as of yet. wait until a clinical trial has been done to prove effectiveness and safety of the massive doses that are recommended. also, note any changes in your health and lungs whether it be good, bad or nothing. tell your doctor about these changes and make them aware that glutathione is out there and that it does have the potential to work.

Here is Theranaturals website. http://www.theranaturals.com/They sell the oral form that you can buy many places. But they do hold production and capulization to a better standard. They don't use an agent that helps flow to better put the med in capsules so it is more pure. The site also sells GSH Plus. This is a buffered solution that is what you need if you want to inhale GSH this is what you need. This the company that is in direct contact with the Utah Valley Institute to help produce these GSH products.....In fact they are about the release a product that has NAC, GSH, Curcumin and Selenium in it!They have free shipping in the states. I am guessing they still ship to canada but at charge.Jake

Hi Dave, I have been using oral glutathione since May of last year and i noticed right away a noticeable difference in my energy level the most. I also notice when i switched from the brand i started with ( jarrow) to another brand i started to feel more congested. I switched back to the jarrow brand and felt way less congested within a day. From what i have been reading from others that have used it, you need to stick to whoever has the best brand with the most purity. Theranaturals and Iherb.com ( who has the jarrow brand) are the best so far. You may want to read up on it before starting it just to feel comfortable about taking it, and i would recommend you tell your doctor you are taking it as well. Use it WITH your other medicines ,not instead of. Unless of coarse you are lucky enough to do so well that your doctor takes you off of other meds . I take what the back of the bottle recommends ( 3 per day) along with 500 mg. of vitamin C , each dose ( to help with the uptake). The only way to know if it will help you is to try it. I would not recommend inhaling it ,if you have hemoptysis problems . It can be very irritating to the lungs. I had a funny feeling when i put up the websight for the curcumin for you to look at yesterday, you might get interested about the glutathione, since it was a gsh board you were looking at. Good Luck, ~ Diane 39 / cf / diabetes / b.cepacia

what was the brand that wasnt thera, hmp or jarrow? it had the purple tablets. id stay away from whatever that brand was [i cant remember the name]. some of the capsules had irregularities, there was powder in the bottom of the bottle and you cant see whats inside the actual capsules. a clear capsule is a good idea, you want to be able to see inside the tablets incase there is something wrong with the bottle/batch.

I spoke with my doctor on Monday about using Glutathione - he said there isn't much on it and there is a school of doctors that think it is a player in CF. He told me if I'm interested, to go ahead and try it, but he didn't know how much or how to prescribe it and I'd have to get it at a health food store.I have been doing some research and learned about N-acetyl cysteine and that it is helpful to take this while taking Glutathione, but only initially as it can be toxic to the liver in high doses.Has anyone coupled these together? I'd really like to get started on the program but want to make sure I'm getting the most benefit. Also, does anyone know of harmful side effects of either of these supplements? Any recommendations as to best brands for both of these?Thank you!Piperpmcp@comcast.net

My husband will be starting Glutathione in the next couple of days. I was wondering if someone can be a general idea how long it was before a difference was noticed.

I had both positive and negative effects as soon as I started inhaling GSH. I started with too much too fast. As a result I ended up with some increased asthma symptoms. These went away after a couple weeks as I seemed to adjust to the GSH. I also immediately noticed a thinning of mucas. GSH still sometimes aggravates my airways, but usually in a good. As I inhale it, it causes me to cough and in return I bring up some the thinned mucas. Also I became consitpated soon after begining oral GSH. I soon learned how to take less enzymes. Jake
