First let me say thank you again for all of the advice.

Courtney saw the gastro doc and it was GOOD NEWS.

The diagnoses is SHE IS FULL OF SH**........lol

She is full of poop!

The back pain is from softball, she pulled a muscle. The doc says the only way to help that is for her to strengthen her core muscles, and gave her a few exercises to help her do that.

For the poop situation he just gave her Milk of Magnisum. Told her to take it for a couple of days and she how she feels.

Thanks again all!!!!

So, does this mean she missed the pep rally (or am I so far ahead of time, that the pep rally hasn't even began?)

Glad to hear she's doing well, though worse case scenario for the diagnosis, is an Enema! *Whew* glad it didn't come to that!

SO GLAD!
It was good you went-better to be safe than sorry.
Please tell her that she was thought of and worried over all day-even though we don't know her!
Glad it's ok. HUGS

Hehe, had the same problem a few weeks ago. Had ALOT of peanuts and took 2 MT20's. Got backed up like hell. lol. couldn't go potty for 12 hours . Good to hear she's ok .

Have you ever tried Miralax. It has really helped me in this area. Milk of Magnesia never does anything for me so if it doesnt work ask for a script for Miralax. Just a thought.

Yeh, doctor mentioned that this is most common when taking too many enzymes, and not enough liquid. I swigged some mineral oil. Still took 12 hours

Oh, thats such a relief.

Funny story, Kayla was complaining recently that her pp hurt. She couldnt make it to the potty in time and said it hurt to pee. I took her in and he said he has the same sneaky idea as your doctor. He said, give her milk o mag and sure enough it worked wonders. I thought she had a uti. Anyways, its so nice to know that kids can have it and I just give her a swig when I see the classic signs.

Gad it worked for both our kids!

Happened to DS when he was about 6 months old and we were mortified 'cuz DS was full of poo. We were afraid he had a partial bowel obstruction 'cuz he wasn't eating, kinda cranky, but he was still stooling. Ah, the joys of CF and poo.

At least now we know what to look for. Doc told us Milk of Mag also until we got him cleaned out. Hasn't happened recently. And I imagine courntey will know when that "feeling" is coming again and can take it upon herself to swig some milk of Mag. Glad it wasn't something worse.

Good to hear you finally know what the problem is Seana, even if it is poo . Glad to hear she'll get some relief.

Take care of yourself too.

If the milk of mag doesn't work, we have used miralax. As long as we catch his back up early enough it seems to help move things through pretty well. You do need a Rx for it though. Good Luck!
