It was raining!!! But good, it only rained for check-in and maybe the first third of the walk, then it was nice enough to stop until we got back to "base" to eat. I forgot to bring my camera....oopsy! And my phone takes poopy pics so, sorry guys! I got to see Julie though, and met Mark for the first time! I also saw the babies for the first time. They are so BIG and adorable! She almost went home with one less, I could have kept one of them! They were just sitting in their strollers all bundles up, happy as can be.

I guess we raised a record amount of money this year for Seattle's walk so that was really exciting. And seahawks player Josh Brown was there. Just as Jessi said, we got a NICE break from the rain up until the walk was over. There were just a few people still straggling in when it started to pour again. I got really creative and put plastic bags over the legs of the babies so it met up with the stroller hoods, so they didn't get soaked. It actually worked out really well.

Mark had the biggest group in our great strides history, there for him on this walk and he was really surprised that all these people showed up for HIM. He was smiling the whole time.

So we had a great walk for the Seattle area, and a great walk for our family!!!

Lisa, were you there? If you weren't, next year??

Nice to see you again Jessi! I've been seeing you a lot lately Glad you could finally see the babies. I wish it wasn't raining in the beginning so you could REALLY see them, and hold them.

Happy striding everyone who's walk is yet to come!!!

Glad to hear that it was such a success!

We weren't there--Gess has this thing about it...we have only been to one. I really let him do what he wants to do about these things.

Maybe next year? I hope!!! Mark does too- so I know what you are saying, this is only our 3rd walk. The first year I had to drag and beg him to come. Last year he came only because I told him how important it was to me, and this year, he was all excited about it. He had a lot of supporters this year too, which I'm sure he enjoyed.

we're in Seattle as well and had such a great time yesterday. My kids held it together very well considering the weather. They didn't even fuss about the not being able to go on the ferris wheel as promised. I think The organizer said the walk raised $369,00 this year
