Great Strides

We just did our Great Strides walk this morning at Six Flags, in Arlington Texas. Over $263,000 were raised!!!! I don't think we have ever been so hot in our life, it was 108degrees. It was also my son's 5th birthday and he had a blast. By the time we went home his hair was covered with "salt powder".

hehe, I love to lick the salt off my husband while I am eating something (of course if we are outside). I only do it rarely, to be silly.

Was the walk acutally at the six flags grounds? If so, that is so interesing and neat. I would love to do that here in Cali. Glad the walk was a success!!!

Hi Shelli,

I was reading your post and noticed the DFWbeads.com behind your name. I tried looking up that site ( i thought it might have beads on it) and noting came up. I love making jewelry and was interested if you had beads.

Thanks,
Caren

Caren, thanks for visiting my site. I don't sell beads, just jewelry, sorry. I need to update my site with some of my new stuff, but it should be working. maybe my server was temporarirly down. I love making jewelry too! I made a "65 roses bracelet" in honor of my son to raise money for the CF foundation, which is why I include my site in my signature. I'd love to hear more about your jewelry making endeavors, you can email me at sheli_janik@hotmail.com. I am also working on some fund-raising kits and I'd like some input. I want each kit to include supplies for making several pieces that can be sold to help raise money for CF. I want there to be more options out there for those who are unable to raise money the "traditional" way. Let me know what you think.
