Greek Style Yogurt

Whoops, meant to post under nutrition. Sorry!

Last year I picked up some Fage brand greek style yogurt at a Trader Joes in the City. Has about 260-300 calories per serving. Comes in Plain, or Plain with honey, cherries or strawberry. Not very tart, really thick. I've also gotten a couple flavored brands at Trader Joes and a larger upscale grocery store. Nobody in our area carried it and shipping would've been horrendous.

Was out running errands a couple of weekends ago and stopped at a grocery store I normally don't shop at and they had the plain Fage -- sold out of the honey & strawberry. I was thrilled, only bought a small container, thinking they'd have it at the same store closer to where I normally shop. Wrong. But I asked and they said they could get Cascade brand in this week. Similar, but tastes a little stronger, not as thick. I'm thinking about using some to make a nice cucumber (tzaki -- sp) dip. Yummmm!

I also contacted my regular grocery store and they plan to stock the Fage brand toward the end of the month. And I've heard Stonefield Farms is also going to start making greek style yogurt.

We love the greek style yogurts!! They are great calorie boosts and almost as good as ice cream with a little berries and honey! Hope Stoneyfield starts making an organic one like you mentioned since Fage isn't.

Glad to hear you can get it.
