Has Anyone Had a Sweat Test that Hurt?

Hi. My name is Katie and I am 12 yrs. old. My mom just found this website and suggested I try it. So, here I am. I have CF. I was diagnosed at the age of nine. First I was tested for allergies and asthma by a stuck-up "I'm SOOO much better than you" allergist. Then I was given a sweat test by a doctor at Boston Children's Hospital. Boy, it hurt SOOO bad! It left a round burn mark on each of my arms. Has anyone else had a sweat test that hurt? The doctor said that it was very rare for it to hurt someone. Katie ( 12 with CF)PS: When the test came back positive, I horray-ed and whoopee-d until Mom told me that, for once, positive was a bad thing.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Hi Katie-I just had my sweat test about 6 mos. ago. They told me it wouldn't hurt but I might feel a tingle. Needless to say it burned very badly. I didn't think I could stand it. It actually burnt a mole off my arm. I thought the lab tech was probably incompetent. Rebecca, 32 & just diagnosed
