Hcg levels

Hi Robin,

No, neither should directly effect hcg levels. However, I have heard that certain antibiotics can have an effect on HCG levels, so indirectly I suppose there is a chance. Certain cancers can also change HCG levels. Other than that, birth control and fertility meds are the only things to my knowledge that will change the levels.

My gyno told me that it is almost unheard of for anything other than pregnancy to increase HCG levels enough to give a you a positive pregnancy test. I'm going out on a limb here, and I certainly apologize if I'm wrong......but if you've had a positive pregnancy test-you are more than likely pregnant. We're here for you if that's the case.

Take care,

Autumn
