headache and prednisone?

hi, everyone.

so, i was put on 50 mg of prednisone yesterday for 5 days and then down to 20 for another 5. well, i did 40 yesterday (just to make sure it didn't effect me different than usual) and all night and into today i have a horrible horrible headache and no dosage of tylenol will touch. i don't know what else to do. it feels like its behind my eyes and almost like it will be a migraine but it doesn't turn into that. it just feels like intense pressure and i find it odd that it started after my first dose of prednisone. coincidence?? does this happen to anyone else?

oh, and i did have my sinuses checked and they're "clear" so its not a sinus infection thing.

thanks for any info and whether you get this with prednisone too... i've been on pred before and aside from crazy mood swings and no sleep and crazy high sugars, it doesn't do much in the line of side effects (as if that's not enough... LOL)

i'm an idiot. i just drank some coffee (i hadn't had a sip of caffeine since yesterday at 11 am and even then it was about 1/4 of what i usually drink) and suddenly my headache is gone!

i cannot believe it. i have not experienced a headache like that EVER, even when i'd weened myself off coffee. does this usually happen? the headache was so bad i was actually up all night with it (plus the prednisone of course)... i thought tylenol worked for a caffeine headache... no??? weird.

anyway, probably explains why no one responded that they'd gotten headaches from it. my bad. TGIF!
