Healing stones

Hi, I have enjoyed wearing my stone necklace and I am wondering if anyone out there believes in the healing energy of gems?
Here is a link that is worth looking at if you believe in this. I am not sure if I believe but i am interested in learning

I haven't had time to check out the link, but I think its interesting too.

When the boys were in the hospital, a woman came by to offer Reiki free to parents. Of course I did it (anything to get out of the room for a minute). She asked me to hold some stones during the session. She told me she had chosen stones that were ones she thought would be healing for me. I couldn't believe when she showed me what they were- two of my favorite stones (hematite and malachite). She said we are attracted to stones that have properties that you need. Weird?

I'll look into it.

Although I think the stones are beautiful I do not believe they have any healing properties. But it could be mind over matter that makes some people believe they do.
