Went in today for my "processing". Signed a few papers. Was hoping to get rid of most of the BS like pee test, physical, background check etc. Got a ton of crap to do today, and tomorrow then report back in wednesday for the other parts of the preemployment (massive psych eval, etc etc).
I also took the computer test to see what all I knew about operating a PC (been a PC geek since I was 12, so it was easy for me). I talked to the other superior in the room, and he briefed me on the aspects of the job. He then said due to my qualifications, I would be a supervisor on site. I found that kind of funny. Not because I am not qualified, but I just didn't expect that level of immediate endorsement to my qualifications/abilities. I have supervised a few younger kids before, but never in any kind of field like this. I am slightly nervous, but I am extremely confident in my ability to tackle any challenge presented to me, and me dominate every aspect of it. I have never failed at any challenge in my entire life, and don't plan on starting now.
One thing that was funny though, while taking my computer test, the older military guy sitting behind me was having a bad day, and had to deal with some turds who were crappy workers and he had to fire them. A few didn't even show up today to their posts. He was cussing like a sailor! I have no issue at all with language at all, words are just a communication channel for ideas. I don't know if he was testing me (because he is classified just like I am position wise, but more managerial) to see if I was a fuddy duddy or what, but I noticed he was eyeing me up and down a few times.
Anyways, I think my first order of the day, being a supervisor and all, when I start there, is to institute the most attractive females to feet me grapes with their feet, and fan me with giant palm fronds as I deligate work responsibilities, and occasionally beat underlings who don't perform with my expandable ASP baton. I mean it's good to be king right? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
Just jokes btw. I'm a very mellow, very friendly guy, regardless if i'm a supervisor or not. Just thought I would share. The only issue I have is the uniform. The hats are extremely cheesy (they look identical to state trooper huge brim hats).
