HelloToday our family just found out that my neice Chanelle 11years old has Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary aspergillosis; allergic bronchopulmonary. For the past couple of years they have said it was Asthma. I'm just so frustrated and don't know how to help her or what to say. A friend of mine is a teacher for her school and she mentioned that as soon as school started they were going to start a fundraiser. Please advise a concerned aunt

My best advise is to try and be there for your niece and the family. Find out what you can about CF and offer to help with that fundraiser. (have they run this fundraiser idea past your neice? Some kids do not want any kids at school knowing about their CF and other stuff and prefer to let people think that they have asthma. They could still do it but just not hold your neice up as some kind of poster child) I hope all goes well. Andrea
