Hypertonic Saline

I just got put on hypertonic saline and so far I'm more clear than I've been since I was a child. I just want to know what everyone else feels about it, good or bad experiences.

I love HTS. Many moons ago, perhaps even 20 years ago, before 7% became popular, I learned that even using the 0.9% when I felt congested was helpful. At the end of my neb treatments I'd just dump more saline in there and breathe it. Now that I have an Rx for the 7% I use it two or three times a day. The only time I find it hard to tolerate is when I'm very sick and needing IV antibiotics. But it doesn't stop me from using it. I just power through the treatment, coughing so hard it hurts, or worse yet, I puke.

I feel wishy washy on it. It does seem to help a lot. But it's also rough to take and that annoys me. Hahaha.

I was in the hospital for a week in March and did HTS while I was there. I was never able to get through with all of it because of the coughing. However, I think it did help. I plan to start (I don't currently) nebulizing at home and I plan to do the HTS at least once a day.
