CFers are often prone to: diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, and depression... among a host of other things. I don't know a whole lot about diabetes, so I can't help you there. But a good chunk of CFers end up with CFRD (CF related diabetes). So given the fact that I'm not a diabetes dictionary, it's certainly possible that you could be diabetic.

This does sound like low blood sugars, especially if you also feel real shakey too.
When my blood sugar gets so low that I get the sweat at the nape of my neck, along w/ feeling shakey and disoriented, I know I need a glass of orange juice or some regular pop (both followed up w/ a good snack SOON)!
Definitely talk to your doctor about this. It's not a good idea to leave it untreated.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">

My dietician and I just talked of this a few weeks ago. These symptoms are also related to the need of salt. I didn't know that as I sometimes feel like that. My sugars are fine everytime they check them. But since then I learned that my body may need salt. So I'm supposed to keep a few salt packets with me at all times. Hope this helps. But you will also need to check your sugar as Emily said. Becky

The symptoms of untreated diabetes are usually a little different. Stuff like severe weight loss, thirst, and having to pee ALL THE TIME. This is because when you are low on insulin your sugar levels go up, which has different symptoms from low sugar. I still say talk to your doctor, but I would lean more toward hypoglycemia (sp??) which has always been explained to me as the opposite of diabetes.
