I decided to give this a try

I was hospitalized recently for hemoptysis ( not a large amount thank God) and decided to give one more thing a try that i had read about on the gsh board. Its called L-Lysine . I read about a woman whos son has cf and had hemoptysis problems and he started taking it and he doesnt have problems with it anymore, unless he doesnt take it for a day or two. I contacted the woman and she gave me some info on it , and then i read up on it online and it did say in the one description that it helps maintain healthy blood vessels. I started taking 3000 mg of it 10 days ago so its too soon to tell if it really works well or not, but i sure am hoping for good results. Has anyone else tried this or even know about it? I will definitely give updates on this and my progress, so that others with hemoptysis problems might be able to benefit from it .

Hey just wondering how you're getting on with it. Any improvements?<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">

Its too soon to tell, but so far so good. I seem to have hemoptysis problems at the same times every month ( usually around the time of ovulation) which will be this week, so that will be the true test. I hope this works so it can help everyone who has hemoptysis problems who is looking for an answer. I will keep you updated.

I am going to start myself on this as well b/c have heard promising things from it. I was interested in buffered l-arginine. They had done studies in 70's for it but then stopped b/c of mucomyst. There is a company that provides the stuff supposedly on cystic-l and there's a article about it.
