My friend Aimee and I are always talking about how we need to get into better shape, but we never do anything about it. So we thought that it would inspire us to have a goal, and why not raise some money at the same time? So the plan is that we are going to train our butts off and in two years (three at the absolute most depending on how everything goes), we are going to bicycle the entire length of highway 101 from the Mexican border to the Canadian border to raise awareness for CF.

We will try to get sponsorships (how cool would it be if Gatorade supplied us for the entire trip?!) and donations. If we plan it right we should be able to hit several Great Strides walks along the way.

I am making this announcement so that all of you guys here will hold me accountable! I am going to be blogging about our progress. If anyone would like to join in on our little adventure you are welcome of course! Training is going to suck, but I think it will be totally worth it!

Outstanding!!! That's an impressive goal, and will be an amazing ride.

I'd encourage you to set intermediate goals leading up to it... your first 100 mile ride, first multiday ride, etc. to help keep you focused on building up for the big trip.

I'm planning on doing a similar (albeit shorter) ride from Vancouver to Calgary early next summer... I would be great to keep each other posted on our progress!

Wow, that will be an awesome ride!

I live in Seattle and am involved in the biking community. I know of a bunch of bike routes and groups in the Seattle area, so PM me if you are interested and we can chat.
