I know this may seem like a very strange subject heading to you all, but this is something I haven't felt up to doing (nor have I cared much about my looks) in a long time. It was 9:30pm and for some reason I wasn't coughing nor was I short of breath (maybe the 40mg of prednisone is working or the new inhaler my doc just gave me?). I enjoyed an hour of Nancy Grace followed by something on the Animal Planet (hey, predators are everywhere on TV!) and painted my nails bubble gum pink. I finally went to bed able to breathe for the 1st time in awhile.
Unfortunately, my husband, who came to bed at 2am b/c of work, made a ton of noise and woke me up (so here I am typing), but it's OK. As long as I didn't wake up struggling to breathe, it's all good.

So, we'll see how the next couple of days goes. My doc doesn't think I need 02 (he did some tests), but he did recommend a new asthma inhaler and some better sleeping positions. He also talked about not eating a lot b/f bed (we tend to eat dinner around 9 or 10pm with my husband's work schedule) because a full stomach can weigh on my lungs. Did a chest XRAY, but it was at my suggestion as he thinks nothing has changed.

Just waiting for my new lungs and trying to stay strong. Thanks for all the support. I'm going to read all of your messages now.

I'm glad you finally got a "half-way" good nights' sleep. I bet it felt good. I hope that you can get some relief with the suggestions everyone gave you, along with the doc's ideas. I was so worried for you. Bubble-gum pink, huh . . .cute! Nite, nite

I suppose it would be stranger if, say, I was the one who posted that topic!!
*Bubble Gum Pink* don't think it'd match my suit for work!

I can certainly relate to the spouse coming in and waking you up while in a slumber...my wife sometimes asks me "Are you asleep?!"...
reply..."Yea, Lucy! I WAS asleep...Babaloo Lucy!!"...the wife can be a ding-bat sometimes I think!

Hmm...new inhaler! The first time using my inhaler, I had a rush! Got a little dizzy at first, but now I'm used to it (the inhaler, not the dizzyness! hehe )

As for X-rays, my doc says the CT Scan (Same meaning as CAT Scan) shows up more detail, and actually less X-radiation is used! I know insurance has to be put in the formula, but if you can get a CT Scan, maybe the doc will get a better concept of how your lungs are doing, and your exposure to the radiation can be decreased. Just a thought I wanted to pass along.
take care!

Yay toe nail painting! it's these little things that matter most. I miss painting mine. The days of having toenails are over however, and painting my fingernails just doesn't work anymore. I rock climb, and so they just get messy right away! Most people tilt their heads when they hear I don't have toenails. then they insist upon me proving it. So, i have a good time still. Instead of showing off my newly painted toes, I show off how there is a distinct lack of anything to paint. See. little things. *grin* Be well and keep finding those joys.
