Infertility website changes

I made some changes, just starter changes after some GREAT feedback on here. I still have more things to do (like move the pregnancy journal and baby pictures and videos to their own site), but in the meantime, I had a small amount of time to play around tonight and I made some changes to the homepage.

What do you think? Be honest, I need it! I want this site to be a resource first and foremost!

I have a few questions too...

1. Do you think I should put the "resolve" and "inciid" on another page?
2. If i don't move resolve and INCIID should I change the colors to keep them similar?
3. Should I delete anything else from teh home page, or move it??
4. Do you like the smaller and more condensed navigation bar?
5. Do you see the option for an "extended" navigation bar? If Yes...
6. Do you like the extended navigation bar? Is the writing to big? Is it too busy? Does it help you at all to see what is available on the site? Should I re-name anything (the links) for better understanding?

Please advise, I really want to make it more user friendly!!!

I particulary like the 'links' column, the colour and the bands work well and is very pleasing to the eye, It also works well with the 'title.
I am, however, unsure if I like the colours that you have used with the block behind the text. I like the grey, but the green colour dosn't do it for me. The strange thing is that I like the colour in the links coloumn, but not behind the text. Maybe its the white text that looks good with it.
Now I do like the photos of the kids, but it dosnt fit in the page all that well. Hope this helps you. LOL
I'll have a think about it, its kind of difficult to visualise colours and placements in your head, and thats coming from someone with an HND in Graphic design LOL

I am not good at deciding what works best for me on a web page, but once its there I will know LOL! I can say that the changes you made already are a big help. Just not having it as "busy" is a huge step.

No no no Julie I diidnt mean get rid of the picture, it was that the picture did not fit in the pdge properly, be it the size or even the colour of the background on it. Maybe the picture needed a frame of some sort. LOL
