I have also been on it for a few years now. My doc is trying to get me off prednisone so he put me on that. I was able to drop for 40 every day to 10mg every other day with it so I love it. I never have had any problems with it

I have been on Itraconazole for 3 months. They found some Aspergillus in my bronch one month post transplant. I was on 200 mg twice a day. About a month later they did a kidneyfuntion test and that showed that my kidneys didn't work as well as they did a year ago. Probably a result from different medications. Itraconazole can cause this too. So they lowered my dose to 100 mg twice a day. And they also lowered my prograft.

Thanks everyone, and thanks to those who replied on my blog as well. They also got me on prednisone. Here's the fun one.....I was finally diagnosed as cfrd. I'm on 6mg lantus to start out and I guess it will take time find the best dosage. I might post cfrd questions later tonight. So this will be an interesting month no doubt

I don't have CF, but took it several years ago for a nail fungal infection. The product literature is pretty daunting -- it stresses possible liver problems... But I didn't have any problems. Suppose with CFers it's a big concer that there could be that potential problem, but I didn't have any problems with it and I was on it for at 6-9 months...
