I wanted to know if anyone has an IUD but has never had a child? I am interested in them but last time I spoke with my GYN, she said since I havent had any children it would really hurt to put it in. I wanted to know if someone without children first had one put it and how bad did it hurt? I am looking into the one that starts with the M. I've done searches and I can not find any other topics up here about it. I am on the pill right now, but I am also taking stronger abx than in the past. I have thought about the nuvaring, but I got a feeling I wouldnt do well with it. There is an implant that pretty new, but I dont have a good feeling about it. I'm not interested in Depro shots. Any information will help. Thanks everyone.

I had mine placed after my first pregnancy, but I do know that some Dr's will place the Mirena in women that haven't had children, as long as you're in a monogamous relationship.
