In one of your posts you mentioned that you live in Ohio, we are also from Ohio and i was just wondering if we go to the same hospital. Well our profiles show where we live ( if we have posted that info ) When i saw Gahanna... I used to work there as a mgr. for Wendy's on Granville St. and my husband used to go to Gahanna Lincoln High so i thought that maybe he knew you or maybe i have seen you guys at Wendys..it has been about 12-13 years ago when i worked at that location but you really do look familiar. Also how funny... you moved to Cincinnati for a couple of years??? My brother also moved to Cincinnati...

Well, I doubt I know you from there. We just moved here and before that I was in weserville. What year did your husband graduate? We were 1989, I cant remember how old you are. Troy goes to Childrens here in columbus.

btw, did you try to send me a message and it get rejected? I keep reading people having that problem and wondered if mine is off as well.

I really am not stalking you...LOL but i worked at Wendys in Westerville also..my best friend is from Westerville.. I worked on Maxtown Rd. When i worked for Wendys i think that i worked at every store..
Kait also goes to Cols Childrens.. We now live close to Lancaster Ohio..
If you visit Kaits video on the family section... you may recognize some of the people...Docs...nurses??????/

We are from Ohio too, Celina. We go to Toledo Childrens -- about 2 hours one way. I believe Columbus is also about 2 hours from us. Happy Birthday to Kaitsmom on Saturday--- that is funny because I will be 35 on Tuesday. <img src="i/expressions/wine.gif" border="0">

Hey, I also live in Ohio (Worthington). I have a 3 1/2 year old son with CF, who goes to Columbus Children's. Dr. McCoy is his primary doctor there at the clinic. Are either of you involved in the Central Ohio CF Foundation? I've gotten pretty involved over the last two years. Maybe we ran into each other at a function? Small world. I don't generally post much, come on and read everyday though. I work in downtown Columbus, am an adoption social worker. Excited to know that other people from around here are users of this site.

Troy sees Dr. Patel at CHildrens. THey have got to get an adult center. Its just horrible conditions for a 37 year old man.

Anyways, small world. You are my first ohioans to meet with CF. (besides my friends little boy)

BTW ~ Sean, Ohio state rocks. The Buckeys beat your hurricanes in the national championship 3 years ago. Sorry for your loss!

I would love to get you involved in some of our events here. I'm on several different committees and also serve on the Board of Directors for the CF Foundation here in Central Ohio. We have an event coming up in April (Wine Tasting/auction/food/entertainment, very nice event and alot of fun. The Great Strides walk is on May 20th. Let me know if you want more information on either as those are coming up soon. I've made alot of friends through the foundation with parents of children with CF and adult patients with CF. It's been wonderful as it's hard for my friends and family to truly understand what families go through. I do volunteer for the CF foundation. Have had a difficult time this year with raising money, i have however met 2 other children in my area with CF.

Karen and Deanna.... Kait normally goes to clinic on Thurs...( my day off ) i really would rather take her on Tues ( childrens day ) but it seems to work out better for us on Thurs..

Kait has also seen Dr. Patel but we just adore Dr. Castille. Maybe some day we will see each other at clinic..who knows? it is a small world.

Kaitsmom, Matthew also goes to clinic on Thurs as I like him to see Dr. McCoy and she is there on Thurs. Maybe we've run into each other and not even know it. I now know what your daughter looks like from her slide show (beautiful) and will be on the look out. He has surgery on April 11th, for a hernia, if it isn't CF stuff it's always something else.

I struggle with the raising money thing as well. I've done fairly well the last two years with my letter writing for Great Strides, last two years I raised about $20,000 with my letter going out to family and friends. I haven't even gotten my letter written yet this year! I on the Great Strides committee this year as well and was put in charge of getting corporate sponsors, struggling with this.

Are you planning on attending the wine event in April? I'd love to meet you. Let me know.

I have tickets to the event, I'll give you a call over the weekend regarding volunteering as well. I'm not on the actual committee for the wine event, but am a ticket seller for the event. I can connect you with the chairperson though if you want to volunteer. I am getting some of the auction items together for the event though, if you have any ideas let me know.

My best friend works for Columbus Schools and has told me about the wine event, she learned about it from a friend of hers that she works with named Marsha B???? Would you happen to know this lady???? Kait goes back to clinic on April 13th to see Dr. Castille. I like Dr. Mccoy as well but Dr. Castille was Kaits primary dr. when she was an infant, so when we get the chance to see him we take it. I love the docs there, it is just so discouraging how many drs. seem to not stay for very long..I want the dr. that knows my daughter.

I apologize for not calling over the weekend. I ended up steaming wallpaper off walls, sanding and repainting. Was a much bigger project than I had anticipated.

Regardless, wanted to know if I still could contact both of you regarding events here in Columbus? Let me know, I'd love to talk.

Kaitsmom, don't know a Marsha B, however may recognize her from another event if I saw her.

Matthew's been in several studies with Dr. Castile and Matthew attributes him to those tests, so we don't see him much due to this. He is very knowledgeable and seems to really care about Matthew. Matthew however hides behind me now whenever we see him. He does the same with Rob and Joe, who do his Infant PFT's. Poor guys. Dr. McCoy was our Matthew's doctor when he finally got diagnosed (10 months) and I've always stayed with her as she really spent alot of time with us at the beginning. I also like Matthew to stay with one doctor, feel like the history is there then.

Let me know how you guys feel about me contacting you about the Wine Event and Great Strides. I promise I will call, e-mail, whatever you are most comfortable with.
