She has had pnemonia that we couldnt get rid of sice December. She has been on toramycin, TOBI, bactrum several times, omnicef, and I think that is about all. But she has kept the cough the whole time but her pnemonia on scans showed improvement each time. Then she cultured MRSA, then picked up a virus from her sister, so needles to say she had a ear infection and an upper respiratory infection, after the pnemonia finally went away. She just cultured the KP at this last visit. I didnt even know she had cultured it until I got the letter in the mail letting me know what she cultured. I called them and talked to them about this culture and they assured me that it was very common in children and bactrum and TOBI are used to treat it which she had before but they put her back on it for 2 more weeks and she is going to get another scan done to see how everything looks now. They said that they dont even treat it unless you have symptoms. What they said was a huge relief to me after what I found on the internet. They assures me that everything should be fine.
