Looking for a College Professsor who taught a CFer

I am grasping at straws, but figured it wouldnt hurt. When I was pregnant and still working I received a call from a former boyfriend of mine. He was a Professor and had CF patient who wanted a letter of recommendation. He was hesitant to give it & contacted me to get my input as a CF patient. I cant recall where he was a Professor at (somewhere mid west I think) or what he taught (tho philosophy comes to mind). He is originally from a little town near me in NY. I know he was married with no kids at that time. His name is Michael Ahern. IF by any chance anyone on here had him, please let me know what University it was.

There's a Michael Ahern who teaches at Santa Rosa Junior College in California (teaches communications) and there's a Michael Ahern who teaches at St. Joseph's University in Pennsylvannia (teaches philosophy).
