My friend moved up to Troy, NY and her sons school did a fundraiser for a girl that passed away from CF. I believe the school is called Rensallier Elementary School. I am curious if anyone knows about the school and the child that passed away. My friend was so excited to hear about a fundraiser.......I told her I would let her know if anyone here knew anything!

I live 8 miles North of Troy, NY. The city you're referring to is "Rensselaer", NY and is actually 12-15 miles due south of Troy. (More accurate info if you are googling)

I'll see if I can find anything out from our local news sources and CF Foundation chapter. Our historic re-enactment group is doing a fundraiser later this year for my granddaughter, so I've been working closely with the CFF.

I did locate a CF fundraiser in Rensselaer, but it's being handled by the Sheriff's Dept not the school.

"This is a handicap tournament in memory of Tara Ann Klein, and all funds raised will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation."

Rensselaer is a small city, I wouldn't be surprised if the Elementary school did the fundraiser for the same person.
