low platelet count in pregnancy

I have been told that I have a low platelet count (at one prenatal visit it was 135 the next time it was 105) I have to see a hematologist next month to see if it is something other than pregnancy causing this... but I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

My daughter with CF had a low platelet count two years ago but most likely it was because of the IV antibiotics she was on. She was Zosan IV Q8....it caused her to contract a condition called ITP. Have you been on IV meds during your pregnancy?

I have a low platelet count, always under 20. I was diagnosed in 2000 with ITP (idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura). I bleed and bruise a lot because of it. Some cases of ITP can arise in pregnancy, often resolving themselves after pregnancy. My ITP was not pregnancy induced, but I just thought I would share what I know.
