Hi, The wait depends on the center you are listed at. Some it can be as short as 90 days, others it can be 2 or 3 years. You are listed by blood type and size.Are you waiting for lungs? Joanne Schumluckylungsforjo@aol.com

It varies for Transplant Center to the next. When I was doing the work up for mine I asked the same thing. They gave me 2wo examples.One patient was a young boy; roughly 10/11 years old. He went through the work up; the test; the labs everything. His case was reviewed an he was told he was a candidate. That day he went home an within a few hours the Transplant center had called an said they had a pair of lungs for him.Another was of an older lady; roughly 50 something;she had the work up an was waiting about 9 months.On another hand a young lady I know from Michigan has been on a list for a little over 1 ½ yrs.(She has something other than C.F. an hasn’t lost lung function as fast)So it varies so much from Tx to the next.Byron24 W/C.F.Post Tx. 1yr 3months
