Some months ago there were a few posts about the make a wish foundation and how hard it was for a CF child to have one granted. My son made a wish and we found out that it has been granted. We are going to Australia in August. They have been a really nice bunch of people who have gone out of thier way to make my son feel very special. No request has been denied and they are even finding things down under that he loves but never even requested. They have pushed eveything through so he could go in the winter time, they have worked around his clinic dates and have made a little boy who has had a very hard year forget for a while what life is really like for him. I will always be grateful to them for what they have given my son and this is before the trip!
For anyone who is thinking about it I say go for it! They are a great organization. We went through the social worker at the clinic and Make a wish took over from there. The only contact they had with the clinic after was for approval for the trip. They did this before letting us know that he had gotten it. So they do think of everything!
