I asked about The Vest at my daughter's last Clinic appointment. Her Consultant said that none of his patients really used them?! Seem that they are really 'hot' in America though.
I'm not so into any manual percussors OR the vest really... I feel I get so much more up when someone is just pounding on me... or, even if I just pound on myself! I rarely cough when doing the vest anymore.
I asked a lot of questions about the vest, and my sons nurse also
done a lot of research, came back and said that there appears to be
no real benefit to using the vest, and that manual was better,in
most cases.
The vest is not available in Canada - you would have to order it from the states, and it costs $16,000. I use either manual clapping, my percussor, or the flutter. On monday I am starting with the Acapella, so I'm excited about that. That being said, I wish the vest were cheaper and available here.

Its much like the flutter, only better.
Nah - my CF is mild, and I'm planning on getting one tomorrow. There's a bunch of people on here who use them. The acapella is an alternative to manual physio or percussor. I use the flutter on my good days, and the acapella is much like the flutter.
