What's happening with Marie, has she got her sight back? Is her eye better? We still hold you close, kiddo--hope you are doing better!
Marie is doing better, the doctor said her eye looks better. Though her sight is still the same. It could take a very long time for that to get better her doctor said.
The can't do much else now. She is on pills i think now instead of iv's to treat the CMV. Last wednesday she was hoping to go home, she could go to the city where she lives (3 hours from where she was in hospital) but she could not go home :-( She had to go to the hospital overthere. They will keep monitoring her eye so they will know right away should it get worse again, like it did 2 weeks ago. It has been 3 weeks now.
They are changing her anti rejection meds too. They are going to lower them a bit so her body can fight the infection better.
She didn't like it at all, that she had to stay in hospital, but she has seen 2 cfers again who she hadn't seen for years so she liked that, to catch up with them.
This weekend she could go home for a bit, on fridaynight but she has to go back again on sunday evening.
