Medical Mutual of Ohio

I've been really trying to figure out if getting a full time job at the place I work at now and getting off of my mom's insurance would be a good idea. My mom has amazing insurance b/c she works in the same hospital my cf doc is in. But, eventually I'll be kicked off of it if I don't find something else anyway. The job I'm at now has Medical Mutual for it's health benefits...it doesn't say anywhere that my cf doc participates or that the hospital I get my treatments from participates...the only doc that is on the plan is my primary care physician...can my pcp just write a refferal for my cf doc? Is there anyone at all who lives in the ohio area and knows about this insurance and coverage for University Hospitals/ Dr. Robert Stern????

I'm so frazzled by this sort of thing...damn being an adult!

I don't live in Ohio or have Mutual Medical, but my insurance does require that I have a PCP. I HAVE TO get referrals from him to see my cf doctor. But I believe my cf doctor is also in their list of physicians under Specialty Doctors. Maybe your employer could find out that information for you or maybe they can give you a number to call the insurance yourself. Do they have a website that you can go to to get the information you are looking for? Good luck!!
