Thanks Mathews, I've been struggling with this for some time now. So do I have the pharmacy call Medicaid? because I did have them try and bill them once for Pulmicort and they said it didn't work. I believe Medicare did cover 80% because it went from being $300 something to $50, but I still can't afford that, (hence why I'm on medicaid!!!) Any help would be great, especially since I have to refill my pulmicort monday.

Confirm you are going to a provider that accepts Medicare and Medicaid. Then take both cards to the pharmacy and ask why they will not bill Medicaid. Also ask if Medicaid needs a prior authorization (P.A.) on your prescription. If a P.A. call your CF care center and ask the nurse to do call it into Medicaid ASAP.

Also have you check into your state to see if you qualify for their children special needs programs? Some states allow adults living with CF to be on those types of programs.

Here's a weblink to help you determine if there is a program within your state: <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.cff.org/living_with_cf/insurance_and_assistance_programs/adult_assistance_programs/">Adult Assistance Programs</a>

I sure hope this helps. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
