MRSA transmission?

OK so I am culturing MRSA. Well y doctor thinks that if I a, doing fine and getting better without treatment of the MRSA then we should just leave it alone. Well someone has brought up the transmission of MRSA through breastmilk. My question is for those CF momma thats breastfed and cultured MRSA - did it effect your baby? Did they get sick?

Olivia has had a runny nose since day 4 of being in the hospital, which I sure is just due to the dry hospital air. However the past few days she has developed a cough, so now I am worried about her getting mrsa?

Is there a differnce in the skin MRSA and the lung MRSA?

I'm not sure if I'm any help but I have the skin MRSA now and they put me on antibiotics that are safe while nursing. So far my baby hasn't gotten sick and they tell me its better to breastfeed so baby can get your antibodies. If the MRSA was in your blood then they wouldn't want you breastfeeding.

Maybe you should indicate your concerns to your doctor and ask if he could can an opinion from an infectious disease specialist...
