Mucinex?

so i ALWAYS see these commercials of the boogie-cartoons for mucinex and I was wondering if that stuff ever helped anyone w/cf get the mucus out of their lungs.

Of course, my son is the one w/CF and only (almost) 5 months old, so I wouldn't give it to him, but I do know they make a kids version... and I wasn't sure if it would be effective helping a CFer at all?

Anyone have any inkling to this?

I have tried it with Ethan when he was sick. It did not do a darned thing. I believe all it is is Guafinesin/Robitussin in a different form ????

Adam my 14 year old does take mucinex every once in awhile...he says he can feel a differnce and he does cough up a bit more.

Don't know if this helps or not..
