Hi Everyone,

As you know, I have been on Mucolyxir for a week now and today I had my pfts. I am a little disappointed. I have been feeling so great, and I expected to go in and blow those suckers away and have everyone gushing over me--what on earth have you been doing to get those numbers type of thing.

Well reality check. They didn't change a whole lot. FEV1 was only up 1%. The good news was that my small airways were up 4%. Melissa had asked to know how I felt doing them. I felt great. I didn't get tired at all--I think I did 5 of them. I didn't have to rest at all, and most important, they didn't make me cough.

My doctor was very interested in the mucolyxir. He didn't mind me taking it at all which is great. He also said my lungs were clear as a bell.

I have another visit in a month and hopefully the mucolyxir will have had more of a chance to work--after all, as someone pointed out, it's only been a week.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I still am praising God that this medicine is helping me feel so good, and I am so thankful for people like Mandy who post this information so that we can all be helped.

The fact that you have only been using it for a week, its hard to tell how much your pfts will actually improve. The fact that you felt good doing them (5 times none the less) is a good sign tho. Do you plan on doing pfts again when you do back in a month? I would be interested in knowing the same info!

Yes, I will do pfts again. I usually do them unless I've had hemoptysis recently.
