Hi,
My sister with cf has been having difficulties with her current neb machine (i think a pari machine, maybe a duoneb??). It has been taking longer and longer (almost over 1 hour for 2-3 nebs). She and her husband have troubleshot (filter, etc) and nothing seems to be doing the trick. She's fed up and wants a new machine. With a baby coming in less than 2 weeks, she wants to be more efficient.

She heard of a machine that does nebs in 7-8 minutes. She is not interested in the eflow as she saw this past weekend what I have to go through for cleaning, etc. (I am still on the fence of pro/anti-eflow...)

So, any recs of new machines that ALL nebs (HTS, alb, dnase, tobi) can be used with. If you use eflow, don't respond just because she isn't interested in that right now. Sorry :)

Thanks, Jenn

I believe Devilbiss Pulmoaid and Pari Proneb Ultras can both be used with Tobi and Pulmozyme. We have both. I think someone recently posted a link here about what neb cups and compressors work with what medication.

Duoneb -- albuterol and atrovent takes less than 15 minutes, Tobi takes 25 and pulmozyme takes 8-10 minutes.

Some people have had issues with the pari proneb ultra II being faulty or breaking down shortly after purchase. I've been keeeping and eye on ours, and so far so good.

You do have to be careful about meds and the type of machine. I had used pari for a very long time and then got tired of replacing them....ughh! I took matters into my own hands and replaced it with a devilbiss pulmoaid which can be used for Tobi and Pulmozyme and I will never go back to those that crap out in a months time. That is just wrong! I say Pulmoaid all the way.
