URGH! So, my dad "overnighted" some enveloped to me on Tuesday via UPS.... I needed the envelopes to put in some mother's day tea invites (Its a fundraiser for my hometown local chapter for CF).... The invites SHOULD have gone out yesterday to get to people BY mother's day...
Well, UPS screwed up.... they got "left" at a UPS facility in town at 7 am yesterday and no one bothered to go pick them up and bring them to me! Then, today, I called to see when they would be delivered, and was told they had not actually reached their "destination facility" in Vegas so they could be scanned and put out for delivery! So, it will be another 2-4 days! WHAT?!?! So, the invites HAVE been in Vegas since yesterday morning at 7 am, but no one has bothered trying to expedite their shipping to me! URGH!!!
So, now all of my 90+ invites will be late.... the "mother's day tea invite" for a "mother's day tea from 1 to 3 on mother's day" will be about 3-5 days AFTER mother's day!!! I'm fuming!!!!!
UPS has done NOTHING to go out of their way to help with the situation. They laughed at me yesterday when I asked if they could make a "special trip" back to the facility that was holding my package to deliver it to me on time... "Oh, we don't do something like THAT, maa'aam <giggle giggle>"
I have had it will UPS. This is not the first time they've messed something important up. I once asked them to hold some shoes that were supposed to be delivered to my house when I was in another state for a couple weeks and even spoke with the operations manager who said "no problem"... well, i got home, and there they were and had been for a few days! Urgh!!!!!
No one listens, and no one seems to care. Its not THEIR fundraiser. Now, I am going to look lazy cause I didn't send them in time. I'm thinking I'll put a little note in each one saying sorry for the delay, and give a short explanation, but not sure I should. 90+ messages would be a real pain.
Thanks for listening, and if I've gotten one person on here to switch to FedEx or USPS, I've done my job.
(And, even if you decide to still use them, PLEASE don't ever use them for something as important as fundraising!!!)
