New Lungs on Aug. 8th

I got my double lung transplant on Aug. 8th, 2009 and my boyfriend and I have a blog updated through out the experience that I thought others may be interested in reading. I had a rocky experience and am currently fighting an infection but I am feeling pretty good. No rejection so far! If you'd like to read up on it, the site is

Congratulations Tanya!

I had my new lungs August 9th 2006 and Bree had her call this year August 7th.

Beginning of August sounds like a really good period of the year to get your new lungs haha.

Congratulations Tanya! I hope that the infection goes away soon! I haven't had any infections post transplant but I have had rejection (within the first 6 months). Also, I'm not a lucky one to get mine in August but I was listed on August 24!! LOL I had my transplant on Jan 31., 2007.
